21st Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics, 5-8th July, Prague, Czech Republic

The 21st Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics will be held at the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague, located in a modern part of Prague – Vysočany, just 15 minutes from the historical centre of Prague.

Information about the pre-courses, plenary speakers, registration, social program and other interesting points may be found on the conference website. Early registration deadline May 15th, 2015.

A number of awards will be presented at the 21st ESB Congress in Prague, including the Huiskes Award, the Best Doctoral Thesis and the Student Award.

Save the Date ESB 2016, Lyon

The 22th ESB Congress will be held at the Cité des Congrès of Lyon, France, from the 10th to 13th of July 2016. It is jointly organized by the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB) and the Société de Biomécanique (SB). We will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the ESB.

Save the Date ESB 2017, Seville

The 23rd ESB Congress will take place at the Higher Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville, from the 2nd to the 5th of July 2017. This will be the first ESB congress to be held in Spain.

Membership news

A Society of over 1000 members!

Just before the end of 2014, the ESB a reached the symbolic target of one thousand members (counting only those in good standing).  This was celebrated by giving away a prize of 5 years of free membership to the 1000th individual member.  The lucky new member is Ehsan Soodmand from Chemnitz University of Technology (Germany).

Society news

The Italian National Chapter will celebrate its next meeting in Milan on the 5th of June. The Meeting will include the General Assembly of the Italian Chapter (including re-election of the ExBo).

Please note that any ESB active or student member in good standing and affiliated to an organization located in Italy/Spain/Austria is also a rightful member of the Italian/Spanish/Austrian National Chapter of the ESB. The same applies to corporate members whose legal site is located in Italy/Spain/Austria, and to honorary and senior members who are resident in Italy/Spain. ESB members of Italian/Spanish/Austrian nationality, but working or resident in other countries, can also join the Chapter by sending a request to the President of the Chapter.
