Mentoring programme

The ESB facilitates mentoring relationships for its more junior members.

Mentoring is a structured partnership between a mentee and a mentor, where a more experienced mentor provides role modelling by sharing advice on the professional development of a less experienced mentee.

A mentoring relationship is expected to last at least six months with regularly schedules online or in-person meetings.

The pairing of mentors and mentees is done by the diversity inclusion and membership committee, depending on mentors and mentees interest in relation to mentoring (not necessarily research interest) or geographical proximity, avoiding wherever possible pairing of members from the same institution.

If you are interested in joining the programme, please sign-up in your members’ page (go to member login). Mentoring programme applications are reviewed regularly.
