The deadline for nominations for the ESB Huiskes Medal is 31st Oct 2014. This award is one of the European Society of Biomechanics greatest honours, and will be given to a senior researcher who has contributed significantly to biomechanics throughout their career. The award is open to both members and non-members of the ESB, who must be nominated by at least two ESB members. The award includes a medal and all expenses during the congress will be covered, where the winner will be requested to provide an award keynote lecture at the ESB Congress. We would be delighted if you would be active for your society and nominate suitable candidates.
Nomination should take the form of a nomination letter, addressed to the Chairman of the ESB Awards Committee (award.chair@esbiomech.org), to be a maximum of 1 page of text, digitally signed by 2 or more ESB members, that should highlight the nominee’s background, publication record, impact of their work, honours and achievements awarded over their career, as well as their contribution to Biomechanics.
