New affiliations:

The ESB is pleased to announce 2 new affiliation agreements, one with the Danish Society of Biomechanics and the second with the German Society for Biomechanics .

 

Next meetings of affiliated societies:

	The German Society of Biomechanics and the Société de Biomécanique (gathering French speaking countries) will organize specific sessions during the World Congress of Biomechanics in Dublin , respectively Tuesday 11thand Monday 10th July.
	The Polish Society of Biomechanics will organise the international conference “Biomechanics 2018” , 5-7 September.
	The 36th International Society of Biomechanics in Sport Conference  will be held in Auckland, 10 thSeptember 2018.

 

News from ESB National Chapters

ESB Italian Chapter

 

The ESB-ITA annual general meeting 2018 will be held during the Biomechanics and Mechanobiology Session within the 6th Congress of the Italian National Group of Bioengineering .

The executive board was renewed. Michele Marino (Leibniz Universität Hannover) has been confirmed as President, while two new members enter the office: Simona Celi (Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio, Massa/Pisa) and Claudio Chiastra (Politecnico di Milano).

ESB Spanish Chapter

The former Executive Committee was re-elected Joaquín Ojeda from the Universidad de Sevilla, María José Rupérez from Universitat Politècnica de València, Josep Maria Font from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Joaquín Ojeda is the new president of the Spanish chapter.

ESB Austrian Chapter

The executive board was renewed.Werner Schmölz(Medical University Innsbruck) is the new president of the Austrian chapterand the board is also composed of Christian Hellmich (TU Wien) and Dieter Pahr (TU Wien).
