21st Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics, 5-8th July, Prague, Czech Republic

The 21st Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics will be held at the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague, located in a modern part of Prague – Vysočany, just 15 minutes from the historical centre of Prague.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 30th January 2015

Prizes and Honors Awards for ESB2015

The next major conference event for the ESB is 21st Congress in Prague 2015. The awards and honours that can be contested in this event are: the Huiskes medal, Mobility award, Student award, best PhD thesis award, best Poster award, and the Travel awards (the number of which will depend on the demand and the budget)

Save the Date ESB 2016: Lyon

The 22th ESB Congress will be held at the Cité des Congrès of Lyon, France, from the 10th to 13th of July 2016. It is jointly organized by the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB) and the Société de Biomécanique (SB).

Report on the WCB2014 in Boston

The 7th World Congress of Biomechanics was held in Boston, from July 6 to 11 2014, with a strong representation from the European Society for Biomechanics. Over 200 ESB members attended the WCB.

After the World Congress, the ESB now has 991 members. We will celebrate our 1000th member by giving away a prize of 5 years of free membership to the member that, once approved, becomes the 1000th individual member of the ESB.  So encourage your colleagues and students to apply for ESB membership, they may be the lucky one to win the prize!

Please note that any ESB active or student member in good standing and affiliated to an organisation located in Italy/Spain is also a rightful member of the Italian/Spanish National Chapter of the ESB. The same applies to corporate members whose legal site is located in Italy/Spain, and to honorary and senior members who are resident in Italy/Spain. ESB members of Italian/Spanish nationality, but working or resident in other countries, can also join the Chapter by sending a request to the President of the Chapter.
