Call for Huiskes Medal nominations, and Awards for 25th ESB Congress

We are pleased to announce some of the Awards of the European Society of Biomechanics for 2019:

 

Call for Huiskes Medal nominations

We are pleased to launch the call for nominations for the Huiskes Medal for Biomechanics, which will be awarded at the 25th ESB congress in Vienna, 2019.  This award is the ESB’s highest scientific tribute, presented in honour of Prof. R. Huiskes, and awarded to senior researchers who have contributed significantly to biomechanics throughout their careers.

Candidate nominations in consideration for the Huiskes Medal for Biomechanics should include a 1-2 sided letter of nomination that highlights the candidate’s career achievements and contributions to biomechanics as well as a full publication list

The deadline for nominations for the Huiskes Medal for Biomechanics is December 1st, 2018. Submit your candidate nominations to the Chairperson of the ESB Awards.

Call for Award submissions ESB Vienna 2019

There will be opportunities to apply for awards in conjunction with ESB 2019, such as the Best Doctoral Thesis in Biomechanics, the ESB Student award and the ESB poster award with most awards having a deadline of 31 January 2019.  Only members in good standing will be able to apply.
