Call for Abstracts ESB2016 Lyon

22nd Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics, 10-13th July, Lyon, France

The European Society of Biomechanics invites you to electronically submit an abstract for presentation at the ESB2016 Congress in Lyon, France.

We encourage you to submit your latest research to be discussed at the forefront of Biomechanics in a mix of oral and poster presentations.

The deadline for abstract submission is 29th January, 2016.

Call for Perspective Talks ESB 2016

We invite senior researchers to submit abstracts for perspective talks in their area of research for the ESB2016 in Lyon. Perspective talks will open the parallel session with a 25 minutes presentation and should provide an overview of and cover the group’s latest research in a specific area. The deadline is 29th January 2016.

Call for Awards ESB2016

One way in which ESB promotes excellence in Biomechanics is by recognition of outstanding members with prestigious awards given at the ESB Congress. The following awards will be given at the 22nd Congress in Lyon: Perren Award, Clinical Biomechanics Award, Mobility Award, Best Doctoral Thesis Award, ESB Student Awards, ESB Poster Awards, ESB Travel Awards. The deadline for most of the awards is January 29th, 2016.

Call for bids ESB2019

The ESB invites proposals for the organization of its annual congress in 2019.

The European Society of Biomechanics (ESB) holds an annual international scientific congress to provide the most up to date research in biomechanics and to provide a forum for discussion. (ESB congresses).

If you would like to host and organize the 2019 ESB congress and wish to prepare and submit a bid, please read the conference rules following the link Conferences-Bid Rules General 2016 in the ESB website. Note that these rules have been recently updated and will be valid for ESB2019 and beyond.

Interested members can contact or send a proposal/bid to Prof. Paulo Fernandes, Chair of the meetings Committee (prfernan@dem.ist.utl.pt)

The deadline for bid submission to organize the ESB2019 is 31st March 2016.

Renew your membership for 2016

If you did not attend the ESB congress in Prague then you will need to renew your membership online and pay your 2016 subscription fees. This will maintain your ‘good standing’ membership status and entitle you to a membership discount for the registration fee for the ESB congress in Lyon. This is also important to ensure your eligibility for the awards detailed above. You will receive a separate e-mail with information and instructions about membership renewal, please act on it as soon as possible.
